CLOSE BY

Drummacahan Lodge is the perfect location for nature lovers. Fallow deer, red squirrels, woodpeckers,  pippistrelle bats, and a wide variety of birds, bees, butterflies and moths are all regular visitors throughout the year. There are numerous quiet walks and places to hike or cycle, with a waterfall and even a megolithic stone circle nearby. A short drive will take you to Lough Erne for fishing, boating and swimming or you can indulge a love of local history with a visit to the old graveyard on Boa Island, the Famine Graveyard in Irvinestown, or the WW2 Flying Boat Museum at Castle Archdale.

WALKING

Fermanagh has an abundance of nooks, crannies, riverside paths, view points and lakeside walks. Pop down to Muckross or ‘old Castle Archdale’ for a dander by the waters edge or an amazing sunset. Or follow the directions of any brown tourist sign. You never know what hidden gem you may find!

WATER SPORTS

Whether it's canoeing, kayaking, Stand Up Paddleboarding, peddle boating, motor boating, a slip and slide water park or some gentle wild water swimming, you're guaranteed to find something to 'wet' your appetite in County Fermanagh. There's even a water taxi and tour boat to help you explore.

EATING OUT

If you prefer to have someone else cook, there are plenty of places to eat out, ranging from hearty fare on Lusty Beg Island to fine dining at the Lough Erne Resort, to Award-winning Greek food at Dollakis. Visit during one of the Craft & Food Fairs and you'll literally be spoilt for choice.

FISHING

Lough Erne is one of the finest coarse fishing waters in Europe and has become popular as a competition venue for anglers. Roach are everywhere and there are plenty of bream, perch, rudd, salmon, brown trout and pike, the latter producing some hefty catches in 2023.

ANCESTRY HUNTING

If you need help finding a townland or graveyard, there is always a local who'll know where it is or may even have stories to share. Pop into the Fermanagh Genealogy Centre at Enniskillen Castle and they'll provide some local history and point you in the right direction!

REST & RELAXATION

Surround yourself with nature, breathe deep and unwind. Bring a book, relax in the hot tub, join a yoga/meditation session nearby, or simply choose to unplug and recharge your batteries. Life can be hectic and if you need to take a break from yours for a few days, this is the place to do it.
